Our Hyper Island Graduation

Between the 14th to 16th of June we had our graduation.

It started off on Wednesday with a reunion-breakfast. It was nuts seeing everyone again after 7 months apart. I was nervous, completely overly excited and of course, very happy.

We did our internship-presentations and Chris’s and mine made people laugh a lot = success! Hearing about everyone’s different experiences was incredibly useful for me since I haven’t been at a company. I got to learn about agency-hierarchy in London, idiot bosses in Amsterdam and about great company-culture in Copenhagen.

What struck me the most was how much everyone has grown. Same people, changed people.  Those who were nervous and insecure before were now filled with confidence and faith in themselves. Those who had that from the start were now filled with new learnings about themselves and what they want to do in this life.

On Friday we had reflection and a bunch of other traditions (many I can’t talk about because I don’t want to spoil it for other Hypers). The day transitioned into evening and we went to Färgfabriken to have dinner and party together.

Our visual sorceress ❤

Was completely baffled by this beauty and had to contain myself to not stalk her with the camera all night long.

In the midst of the sandwich is the best program manager anyone could ask for. The breads are two crunchy, intelligent beauties.

We all got the chance to honor a classmate. I got this fella. Did I tear up whilst reading my text about him? Yes.

That was the end of this journey and the beginning of the rest of our lives. The gratitude I feel for this Hyper experience and these humans, is colossal.

Years on earth: 23

Today is my birthday. I’ve now been an earthling for 23 years and I must say, it’s very neat to be alive despite all the inexplicable things that are happening in the world.

I had a birthday-dinner last Saturday which turned out to be a really fun and sweet evening. I know nothing that’s better than having so many of my favorite people gathered in one place. The best part is that it’s happening tonight as well, but with family and extended family!

Some moments from the birthday-dinner:

Oh btw! We did an epic mannequin challenge 😀

This one… makes my heart melt.

Beautiful people Burgers with all sorts of toppings and mudcake was on the menu! img_8684

I’ve heard people love getting their picture taken whilst eating, especially burgers, so I did that 😉 img_8685img_8686

The Four-legged Ones

I’ve stumbled upon a bunch of cute animals lately, here’s an excerpt from the encounters.

This is Mila, named after Mila Kunis, she belongs to Nils mother and sister. What a stunner eh?

These summer-cats had it great compared to all the summer-cats here in Sweden that are bought by families, brought out to their summer-houses, only to be left there when their vacations are over. These ones lived in a big room with their mama, had plenty of food, water and toys and awaited their new families.

Went completely haywire with the camera over this scene, Mila in the old Jaguar, with the clouds mirrored in the windows – ah, it all felt very cinematic.

Midsummer Madness

Arabo had been planning our midsummer feast for a whole week and when Midsummer’s day came, he, Pako and Sonja rolled into my kitchen with SO MUCH FOOD! The rest of the crew came at 4 and so we started eating + drinking en masse… 😉 Nils was game-leader and we played burnball, catching apples from buckets, frog-jump, and Norwegian drunkenness.

Here’s a photobomb from the day, am working on the film as well. It’s difficult not to take a thousands of pictures/film of these beautiful friends of mine, hence I have some content to go through…

The best freaking Västerbottenpie any of us had ever tasted. Arabo is a master-chef.

Winter Magic- We Saw a Halo

We celebrated mini-christmas in Jämtland – my paradise on earth. On our way back home we witnessed an otherworldly phenomenon: a halo. My father was clever enough to realize the strange rainbow in -17 degrees would become a halo and I was stubborn enough to force him to come to a stop.

Two of the other photos are with me and the elkhounds. Believe me when I say that using hunting elkhounds for a photoshoot is NOT a good idea. Rowdy creatures, albeit loveable!
