Change is coming. After 22 years in the same house I am now moving out, on Friday to be precise, AND I CAN’T BLOODY WAIT! I have scrolled through every pinterest post on interior design and every furniture warehouse and now I think I have a good picture on how I want it. A dreamContinue reading “Moving Out”

The Nesting Sorrow
There is grief circling mind, like a ring of wildfire, it surrounds every thought. Not letting anything in, nor out. I push the memories back because they remind me, and reminciscing leads to tears and crying hurts. I woke up with a blistering headache, piercing through my head as if it was a spear ofContinue reading “The Nesting Sorrow”
The Youthful Longing for Nothing and More
In Ghana I decided to live my life here in Sweden, more like I did there, which equals spending more money on food, drinks, events, activities, and in return get more experiences and fun-times. These past weeks have been all about sun-bathing (because summer came to Sweden?!?!! WHAT?!) going out, eating out, going to school,Continue reading “The Youthful Longing for Nothing and More”
In Kokrobite we danced in the moonlight
Yesterday we got back from Kokrobite, a small paradise an hour outside of Accra. We stayed in a honeymoon suite (to say the least) at Kokrobite Garden. With paintings, colorful houses, a beautiful garden and snaky pathways I think it makes for the ultimate setting for a wedding. The moon here in Ghana tends toContinue reading “In Kokrobite we danced in the moonlight”
Treats of Northern Ghana
As we woke up around 6.30 on Monday we brought our sweaty bodies out of the bed, into the sunlight. The warm breeze felt as good as a cold shower after a sauna. We were served a small breakfast consisting of meal-replacer bags. We headed out to say goodbye to Joshua, which was a heartfeltContinue reading “Treats of Northern Ghana”
Sweltering heat, Warmer humans
Last Sunday we got on the plane from Accra to Tamale Airport. I got the strange sensation of that Camilla and I were wildlings and we were about to conquer the north, behind the wall. Because it is a wall, it seperates the “rich and the rich poverty” of Accra from extreme poverty in theContinue reading “Sweltering heat, Warmer humans”
La Famiglia en Italia
Just arrived home from Arabba, Italy. One week with splendid weather, great skiing, shit tonnes of food, a lot of red wine, family and extended family. I’ve shared a room with my siblings and it’s been a treat to reconnect a little. Because even though we’ve grown up together and know each other on a deepContinue reading “La Famiglia en Italia”
Butterflies
I’m sitting in my room with my bags packed. My family is chatting downstairs with the clatter of porcelain as background music. Tonight is the event of The Free Projects and it feels like as if we (in the team) are inviting people into our personal bubble. A bubble that hopefully will explode into happiness and excitement tonight.Continue reading “Butterflies”
Nature the Charmer
My lungs are waking me up way too early and as a result my mornings become quite eventful. Today I’ve watched a bit of When Harry Met Sally, walked, worked and written. On the 12th of April I begin a writer’s class online, I’m beyond stoked to get to learn more and get counseled throughoutContinue reading “Nature the Charmer”
When Heaven Split in Ice & Fire
Have I told you about that morning the 29th of January when heaven separated the world in ice and fire? How the sun sprinkled gold over everyone who witnessed it, and made a promise to the dead grass that spring will come and you will be in full bloom again, shimmering of green. Just wait. Continue reading “When Heaven Split in Ice & Fire”
A Snippet of Summer in Sweden
Sweden is dark nowadays. Therefore I decided to put together this cute little video from last summer when my dogs and I were cuddling in the garden 🙂 A Snippet of Summer in Sweden from Josefine Mattsson on Vimeo.

Crisp Colors
I guess I could write something melodramatic, with a touch of poetry, about how beautiful this afternoon was and how the crisp colors of nature made fireworks in my mind. BUT, instead I’ll let you see for yourself.
Winter Magic- We Saw a Halo
We celebrated mini-christmas in Jämtland – my paradise on earth. On our way back home we witnessed an otherworldly phenomenon: a halo. My father was clever enough to realize the strange rainbow in -17 degrees would become a halo and I was stubborn enough to force him to come to a stop. Two of the other photos areContinue reading “Winter Magic- We Saw a Halo”
Swedish Melancholy at its Finest
A couple of weeks back my world was terribly, hauntingly grey.
A three weeks week
It is Monday, but my head tells me it is time for a weekend. It’s good for me to be at code-camp during the weekends and kind of teach myself to exclude the need for a longer rest from my brain. Because when I’ll start my own company or whatever, then there will be noContinue reading “A three weeks week”
Love & other stories
I’m in a new team in school, we’re doing a module called Business & Strategy (something something). We’ll get the brief tomorrow and so far so good, I am extremely curious about what we will be able to create together. After school I ended up on a stroll at Slussen with a (not really) newly-foundContinue reading “Love & other stories”
The Digital Emotion of a Physical Being
That would be our project for Radiant Equilibrium, our kick-ass exhibition where over a thousand people came. It was something remarkable about letting people interact with what you have created. This is our project-film. Take a minute to watch, it is beautiful! The Digital Emotion of a Physical Being from Carl Sahlin on Vimeo.
Hamster-Wheel With a Touch of Rainbow
Added a surprisingly sweet section to my daily-routines on Monday morning, I ran 2km – 10min. Now I’ve done it for three days. I thought my bones would break and my sleepy-head would steer me intro a tree but it’s actually quite pleasant running in a dream-state. Other than that the days move in a hamster-wheel. UpContinue reading “Hamster-Wheel With a Touch of Rainbow”
VAMPIREEN ’15
Last Saturday I let 60 people into my house to “celebrate” Halloween (Vampireen), or rather; a good reason to throw a party because of all the epic outfits. I spent all of Friday night cleaning and then all of Saturday fixing with props, snacks, drinks etc. Later that night I stereotyped my way into becomingContinue reading “VAMPIREEN ’15”
Ah, weekend.
Went out last Friday to Bar Nombre at Odengatan (love that place!) and then spent the night in at Elsa’s yesterday, studying. We underwent an intense Friday, my classmates and I, where we unexpectedly made a deep-dive into our ethics and morals. Which sparked some interesting discussions regarding tech/design combined with creating something of value for anContinue reading “Ah, weekend.”
What a Day and Night
Yes! What a day and night! Our exhibition exceeded my expectations by thousands-folds. People were queuing for ages and there were probably around 800-1000 beings who came and saw our projects. My team and I stood and gazed out over our part of the project while people were interacting with it, we were filled withContinue reading “What a Day and Night”
Juggle life
Spent the day at Anna’s. This weekend I’ve been taking it abnormally chill. Felt like I ran into a tiny wall last Wednesday due to too many impressions and a brain which runs on top-speed with too little fuel. So I had to wind down. Spent last night at Sonja’s, with play-dough. Haha. We madeContinue reading “Juggle life”

My new laptop-backpack by In Bag We Trust
I wanted a laptop-backpack, these were my criterions: – Leather with gold-details – Laptop-pocket – Big enough to fit my work-out clothes + lunchbox – Extra pockets I’m picky and buy things very seldom, therefore my perfectionist-heart took another skip when it found exactly what it had been looking for. I bought this beauty via Etsy from InContinue reading “My new laptop-backpack by In Bag We Trust”
Fun times at Hyper + Our Manifesto
Last Friday was hilarious. Me and my team presented our manifesto = guidelines for how we want our time at Hyper to be and how we should be towards each other. An example: “The Mullet” – Business in the front, party in the back. Ok, two examples because they are funny and legit: “Eat challengeContinue reading “Fun times at Hyper + Our Manifesto”
Chop Chop
Cut me hair off a couple of weeks ago. “How does it feel?” people ask and all I reply is: “Freedom”. I can run around without getting hair in my face, I can workout without using a tuft. Another more psychological aspect of it is that I no longer “hide” behind long hair.
HI100
Last Monday our program managers at Hyper Island gave us a brief. The brief was to create a list of the one hundred companies which we find most attractive to work for. Along with that our task was to create an event for Friday. Needless to say, 260 brains started whizzing and buzzing. Then our PM’sContinue reading “HI100”
Into The Way Out Secret Cosmic Grinda Island
The 15th of August I, quite spontaneously, joined some of my classies to go to a one-day festival at Grinda. I had no idea what to expect and I guess I never could have expected what came before me anyway. The day was amazing, a brilliant Swedish summer’s day, which turned into evening with booze andContinue reading “Into The Way Out Secret Cosmic Grinda Island”
Perseid “Shower”
Dad, Jake and I headed out on a perseid hunt last Thursday. Perhaps we went out too early, but to be the peak of the perseid-shower it was kind of a disappointment. Except from that I got to test my camera on a starry sky and I was baffled once again by this amazing machine.Continue reading “Perseid “Shower””
